I developed the official art blog and online art store for painter Natalia Ivchyk at https://nataliaivchyk.com/, creating a platform that showcases her artwork and enables direct sales of original paintings. Serving as the full-stack developer, I handled design implementation, custom functionality, e-commerce setup, content management workflows, and SEO optimization to support the artist’s online presence and business goals.

The website was built using a custom WordPress theme designed specifically for an art-focused user experience. The visuals and layout emphasize Natalia’s paintings, while maintaining a clean, minimalist structure that complements the artwork. Carefully chosen typography, spacing, and galleries ensure each piece is presented with clarity and impact.

To make content management simple and intuitive, the site utilizes Advanced Custom Fields Pro (ACF Pro). This allows the client to easily add and update artwork descriptions, blog posts, exhibitions, and featured collections. The flexibility of ACF Pro ensures the art catalog and blog remain dynamic and up-to-date without technical expertise.

A key feature of the store is a React-based filter on the store page, allowing visitors to quickly sort artworks by category, style, size, or availability. This interactive filtering system greatly improves user experience, especially for larger art collections. The store is a custom solution without WooCommerce, giving full control over presentation, workflow, and integration with external services.

For shipping, I integrated Nova Poshta, enabling seamless order processing and delivery in Ukraine directly from the store. Each product page includes high-quality images, detailed descriptions, pricing, and clear calls-to-action, ensuring a smooth purchasing workflow for buyers.

Yoast SEO was implemented across the site to maximize search engine visibility. Every page, including artwork listings, blog posts, and static content, was optimized with meta titles, meta descriptions, and structured data to improve indexing and organic search performance.

The website features a fully responsive layout, ensuring optimal display on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Galleries, sliders, and interactive elements are optimized for performance and usability, allowing users to explore artworks seamlessly on any device.

The Art Blog section serves as a platform for Natalia to share creative insights, studio updates, exhibition reviews, and artistic inspiration. Blog content is structured for clarity and readability, supporting both SEO goals and visitor engagement.

Combining a custom theme, React store filter, Nova Poshta integration, responsive design, and SEO foundations resulted in a website that not only showcases Natalia’s artistic portfolio beautifully but also supports direct sales, discoverability, and user engagement.
